Meet the Linortek IoT Meter®

Our self-contained, network enabled, custom developed device that works with any powered equipment to monitor usage and collect data for equipment maintenance.

Meet the Linortek IoT Meter® wireless equipment hour meter, the self-contained, network enabled, custom developed device that helps ensure equipment is properly monitored and maintained by tracking runtime hours. Based on Linortek’s existing TCP/IP web-based platform, the device is designed to work with any powered equipment, whether stationary or mobile, and saves time by eliminating the need to physically visit each piece of equipment to manually collect data.

Since 90 percent of machine maintenance is based upon hours instead of miles, the IoT Meter® is an ideal tool for keeping up with preventative maintenance schedules. This device can help extend the lifecycle and performance of powered equipment as well as tracking a range of equipment across a warehouse, construction site or multi-location company.

A versatile device, the IoT Meter® can be placed on any powered equipment such as forklifts, cranes, engines, pumps, compressors, golf carts, ground support equipment and heavy-duty vehicles.

Wifi hour meter work flow

How Does It Work?

The IoT Meter® is simple and reliable. The wireless equipment hour meter connects to equipment through either the two digital inputs, two relays or main power into the unit. It can be configured to activate whenever power is on or it can be configured to follow one of the two relays, so when the relay is activated, the IoT Meter® starts counting. A voltage threshold prevents memory corruption and automatically saves data in the event of power loss.

Once connected, the built-in web interface provides convenient access to manage devices. At designated intervals or when mobile equipment passes within the WiFi range, the IoT Meter® will report its current runtime data. This real time data can be monitored from the built-in webpage or through the HourCollector desktop app.

The IoT Meter® has other built-in features, such as If/Then programming tasks, remote relay control, input signal monitoring, network time connection, and automatic email notifications when equipment requires scheduled maintenance. Also, the relay outputs can signal alarm devices, such as buzzers or lights, with maintenance is required.

Once it’s connected, all you need to do is sit back and allow the IoT Meter® to monitor your equipment’s usage.

Can the IoT Meter® monitor more than just hours?

The WiFi hour meter has a built-in impact sensor, while the Network hour meter has an optional temperature and humidity sensor.

Additionally, other sensors and devices can be connected to the IoT Meter® through its inputs to monitor a range of data, such as temperature, humidity, oil pressure, light levels, impact, voltage and more. One company configured the meter to count RPM on shafts and determine equipment cycle (or spindle) count to measure productivity and efficiency.

Is the IoT Meter® compatible with other management databases?

Data from the IoT Meter® can be easily integrated into other databases. Data can be transferred automatically with RESTful API, over a TCP connection using XML calls and your proprietary app, or with the CSV file from the HourMeter Collector App.

Why is the IoT Meter® a better choice from other devices?

Many manufacturers require monthly fees or an additional software purchase. But with the IoT Meter®, there are absolutely no monthly fees, no software to purchase, no third-party servers and no worries. The system can be scaled to remotely monitor all equipment from the HourMeter Collector App. Among being effortlessly functionable, the IoT Meter® is affordable and cost-effective.

This all-in-one system lends workers time to focus on other business tasks, eliminating any need for manually tracking data. Thanks to its centralized data monitoring, the IoT Meter® will supervise equipment run time data and send alerts when needed.

The IoT Meter® is a great monitoring solution for any business with powered equipment.
