Linortek Netbell POE-IP Speaker Performance Testing Report

Introduction

At Linortek, we understand that selecting the right IP speaker system is crucial for your facility’s communication infrastructure. This performance comparison guide presents our in-house testing results to help you make an informed decision based on your specific acoustic requirements and environmental conditions.

Our Netbell POE-IP Speaker series designed to meet diverse deployment scenarios from quiet office environments to expansive industrial facilities. Each speaker model has been optimized for specific use cases, ensuring clear, reliable audio communication where you need it most.

Understanding the Test Results

Test Methodology: Our technical support team conducted standardized acoustic measurements using NIOSH Sound Level Meter app. All measurements were taken at a consistent 1-meter distance from the speaker face to ensure accurate, comparable results across all models.

Key Metrics Explained:

  • LAeq (Average Sound Level): The time-weighted average sound pressure level, representing typical operational loudness
  • Lmax (Maximum Sound Level): The highest A-weighted sound level recorded during testing, indicating peak output capability
  • LCpeak (Peak Sound Pressure): The maximum instantaneous C-weighted sound pressure level, critical for emergency notification capabilities

Choosing the Right Speaker for Your Application

  • For Indoor Spaces (Offices, Classrooms, Retail): Consider our ceiling-mount and wall-mount speakers, which provide clear audio coverage without overwhelming indoor acoustics.
  • For Industrial and Large Facilities: The 30W POE horn speaker offers excellent coverage with convenient Power-over-Ethernet installation.
  • For Outdoor and High-Noise Environments: The 60W horn speaker delivers maximum output for challenging acoustic environments, ensuring messages are heard clearly even in noisy conditions.

Performance Test Results

Below are the sound level measurements that our team tested in-house, taken at approximately 1 meter distance using NIOSH Sound Level Meter app.

The 60W horn speaker is the most powerful unit — about 24 dB louder than the ceiling speaker (≈16× acoustic power). The 30W horn provides strong clarity for general paging, while wall and ceiling speakers balance clarity and compact design for indoor or office environments.
