With Linortek IoTMeter, whether you are maintaining one piece of equipment or multiple pieces, you can now monitor all equipment run time data from our HourMeter Collector program on a PC. The HourMeter Collector program is special designed desktop app that can be used to monitor multiple devices from one simple interface without the needs of logging in to the devices. It will collect the hour runtime every 2 minutes automatically by default. When you run the HourMeter Collector for the first time, it will generate a CSV_FILE folder with your Hour Meter Logs details, which you can use to import to your own management system.
Data Integration and Management
For anyone who needs to incorporate the hour readings into their own management database you can transfer the data automatically using a UDP broadcast or directly query the JSON output to manage equipment across single or multiple locations.

Maintenance scheduling for industrial equipment
The best time to fix industrial machinery is before it breaks.
Think about it: we change the oil in a car’s engine before, not after the engine experiences problems. In the same way, much of the preventative maintenance required by industrial machinery is based on preset standards. Engineers set these standards to prevent equipment issues from arising.
Data has proven that this preventative action that we call scheduled maintenance will prevent equipment issues. However, we know that no matter how much you prepare and try to prevent, sometimes the unexpected happens.
Responsive maintenance for industrial equipment
Preventative maintenance can also take the form of responsive maintenance. This kind of maintenance is more direct observation of the condition of equipment. When we see that there is an issue or irregularity, corrective action is taken. Instead of seeking to detect problems beforehand, we minimize the severity by stopping them from getting worse.
Human technicians can’t keep a constant eye on your equipment, so responsive maintenance can’t always be done or the need for it isn’t always recognized.
Instead of relying on human observers, we have enough advanced technology in the industry to trust to take on the task—we call that an IoT Meter. These wireless IoT meters automatically connect and report on their conditions in real-time. When the machines self-report their condition to a central server for technicians to review, the machine is a SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) system.
Remote monitoring systems
Although we have specifically designed software to monitor the condition of our powered equipment, the SCADA remote monitoring and control system is not meant to replace scheduled maintenance. The two processes should be used to inform one another.
The data created by a network of industrial machines is specific to those machines. Runtime data is also specific to the machines, each in remote locations—whether that’s one single location or multiple.
The bottom line is remote system monitoring provides consistent and secure solutions to monitoring and collecting valuable performance data. Remote system monitoring for industrial automation is cost efficient and reduces the overall costs by minimizing downtime, increasing productivity and streamlining the maintenance process.
