The Linortek IoTMeter can be used to monitor runtime of any machinery such from lathes to laser cutters. You will need a constant 12-48VDC power source for the IoTMeter, and a 5-24VDC signal to one of the digital inputs that will switch on and off with the machine to trigger the hour meter. Please note that the voltage to the digital input cannot be from the same source as the power to the unit.

Sometimes your business may require you to connect to your IoT Meter or Netbell unit from outside your work network. This can be done by port forwarding your device to the internet. You will need administrator access to the router your Linortek device is connected to, and you will need Dynamic DNS (DDNS) service from either www.dyndns.com or www.dnsomatic.com. The third option on the drop down menu: www.no-ip.com is currently bugged and pending an update. This guide will use service from http://www.dyndns.com.

After installing the IoTMeter on your equipment and configuring the software, the Linortek IoTMeter will record the equipment’s run time hours. You can monitor the real time data either from the built-in webpage or the HourCollector desktop app. Many companies have their own management software and would like to integrate the equipment hour readings to their system so that they can automate their maintenance procedures. Below, I will demonstrate how to export the hour reading data from the IoTMeter using XML. Note: This tutorial uses Microsoft Office 2016.

The Netbell-NTG can play custom audio files as well as control bells and buzzers, but you can also run background music through it and interrupt the music when you need to play a message. This is done by connecting a music source such as an mp3 player or a radio to the Normally Closed connections on the relays as well as to the amplifier. Below I will show you how to do this.

The Bell Scheduler is a useful tool for keeping your bells running at your desired schedule but sometimes you may need to run an alternate schedule. This could be if you are running a school bell and have a set schedule but then need a different schedule for a half day or an activity day. Rather than having to make sure you upload the alternate schedule before each day and have to upload the regular schedule afterwards, you can use a virtual relay to act as a toggle between different sets of times on the same schedule. Below I will show an example of how you can do this.
