Using Port Forwarding to Connect to Remote Device

Sometimes your business may require you to connect to your IoT Meter or Netbell unit from outside your work network. This can be done by port forwarding your device to the internet. You will need administrator access to the router your Linortek device is connected to, and you will need Dynamic DNS (DDNS) service from either www.dyndns.com or www.dnsomatic.com. The third option on the drop down menu: www.no-ip.com is currently bugged and pending an update. This guide will use service from http://www.dyndns.com.

I will make mine short. we had issues with trying to get connected to our network. Maria one of the support techs helped me out for about 4 hours trying to get it connected to our network. after exhausting all our options we found out that with our upgraded network we needed to get IT involved to let this device talk to network. now it is just a matter of getting all the timers dialed in and putting it in operation.

The school I work for has been using a Linortek bell system for years and we just upgraded to a new bell/PA system combo. We're still in the process of installation but so far, they have been super helpful in answering all our questions and talking us through details, and I have been very happy with the quality of the new system in my initial testing.
